UWG Announces Third Annual West Georgia Textile Heritage Trail Conference
The Center for Public History at the University of West Georgia will host the third annual West Georgia Textile Heritage Trail conference on March 19 and 20, 2015 in historic Dalton, Ga., the “carpet capital of the world.” This year’s host will be the Whitfield-Murray Historical Society, and the theme will be focused on using the arts to tell the textile stories.
UWG’s Online Graduate Education Program Ranked Among Best in Nation
The University of West Georgia placed 75th in the nation for online graduate education programs according to the 2015 ranking of online programs by U.S. News and World Report. The placement is based on factors such as accreditation, admissions selectivity, and academic and career support services offered to students.
University of West Georgia’s Online Nursing Program Ranked Among Best In Nation
U.S. News & World Report recently released its 2015 rankings for online graduate nursing programs, and the University of West Georgia’s Tanner Health System School of Nursing was ranked number 41 out of over 1200.. Programs that are offered mostly or entirely online at regionally accredited institutions are evaluated for the rankings.
University of West Georgia's Online MBA Ranked Among Best In Nation
U.S. News & World Report's 2015 Best Online Programs ranked UWG's Richards College of Business online MBA program 44th in the nation. The list evaluated over 1,200 online programs offered by nonprofit and for-profit institutions in the United States in categories of "bachelor's degrees" and graduate-level programs in business, Master of Business Administration, education, engineering, nursing, criminal justice and computer information technology, and ranked the top 145 in each category.
UWG Presents an Afternoon with Award-Winning Author
The Ingram Library’s Penelope Melson Society will present “An Afternoon with Award-Winning Author Terry Kay” on Sunday, February 8, at the University of West Georgia’s Ingram Library. Terry Kay will speak at 3:30 p.m. There will be a reception prior to his program at 3:00. This event is free and open to the public.
