Assistant Professor


Kyle Lorenzano is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mass Communications at the University of West Georgia. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Communication from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University, in addition to a B.S. in Communication Studies from the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University.

His teaching interests focus primarily on emerging technology and mass media, having taught courses on multimedia storytelling, media industries/programming, social media marketing, and media theory/criticism. His research interests mostly center on political communication, with an emphasis on the relationship between new media and polarization. This research resulted in a recent publication in Online Information Review and several papers delivered at top conferences in the discipline.
